SALES THREAD

Hello All,
These parts are designed, and we have a machine shop lined up waiting for a go ahead.

This thread is here to help gauge the quantities needed in this run.
Pricing shown is based on 60 total units or more.

The capsules will be waterproof.
The 18650 size is no larger than needed. No extra bulk.
The 16340 capsule is the same diameter, this leaves some extra room inside. The foam pads will ensure the cells are isolated from the ends, and no battery rattle.
There is a good chance that some of these will be available with a black DLC coating, or TiAlN coating at extra cost.
We may do some laser engraving on the bottom, including "MADE IN USA"

Please vote for the choice which best suits you.

I like it, but also would not buy it. I have similar waterproof cases in ABS from Lighthound for $2 that work great and the glamor of a nicely machined Ti transport tube for a single battery is not that compelling.

But $800 for a Mokume Gane light may be ............

So it sounds like the 16340 will fit an 18350

DLC

Any thoughts on an aluminum version w/ hard anodizing or cerakote (sp?), too fancy and it will and up the same cost as Ti, so it's probably not worth it, and may need to be thicker.

Ti is cool though, been planing to build a DIY anodizer.

0.830" comes out to around 21mm, nice and narrow.

I'm in for one of each, possibly a second 16340 with DLC if offered.

Cool project!

To rich for my blood I'd sooner buy a $100+ 18650 capsule that lights up.... however the design looks excellent and I was all for it until I saw the price.

Yes, 18350 will fit fine. Hopefully we get more choices in this size sometime soon.
No plans for aluminum currently.

Count me in for the 18650 if the shipping costs to the UK are reasonable.

Happy to ship abroad for a reasonable cost

They look nice, but honestly $110 to store a single battery is untenable. Even $10 seems high when there are other economical options like plastic tubes, etc. To be fair on a feeler thread poll, I think there should be an option of "not interested" to give you an honest guage of interest.

Thanks for your input.

We were inspired to create these items for a couple of reasons:

1. Similar items with similar pricing have been well received in the past.
2. A 18650 specific Titanium capsule has never been offered before.

I have just been informed that Non-flashlight items are being moved away from this section.

I will have to sell these in the Marketplace when the time comes.

This interest thread will be active for a couple more weeks.
