The first link is a rechargeable D cell. Looks like a good one too. I think you've just found a good source for Li-ion D cells :thumbsup:

It doesn't say anything about a protection circuit though.

I was talking with these guys a while back about 5.2 AH cells. Then they disapeared and came back with 6.0

The protection circuit consists of a fuse to limit discharge current.

Once it pops you are toast.

Anyway, the rechargables are $48 bucks.

Have to have them shipped to a business address as they are classified as hazardus and not shippable to a residential address.
