Intermittent Arc LE: what should I do?

I have an arc LE, that I usually carry around my neck on a lanyard, that suddenly developed this problem. I turned it on one evening to use it, and It wouldn't do anything. I changed the battery, and still nothing, then I put the old battery back in, and cranked it down as far as it would go, and got a slight flicker. Then I backed off, and tried to turn it on again, and it worked this time. but it only turns on every other time you screw the head down, and it also squeaks now.Should I send it in on warrantee, or what?
