Heh. What's next?

The only problem being you can't actually listen to your iPod and use these at the same time /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I just think it's funny /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif You can't use it at the same time that you're listening to the thing. You keep it on your keychain when it's not in use, so you still have to fumble it out and plug it in so it's not like it was just built into the thing (which would be cool) and so I feel there is little real value beyond a CC $1 light on your keychain that doesn't require you to plug it into your iPod first.

Even so, it's pretty cool, but I just feel like someone there was thinking something like "hmmm, so I've got a maximum draw of a few tens of ma and we've already got all the tooling and plug setup to build things that plug into this iPod, what else can we do with it..."

I doubt they will sell very well, at least not at $20. Too inconvenient. My prediction: In two years time the remaining stock will be discounted to $5 and then discontinued.

I'm holding out for the GPS iPod adapter! Now that would be cool.

Hmmm, I think I'd stick to a dedicated EDC... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

Battery life on iPods suck enough already. Needlessly burning up the capacity with an inconvenient flashlight is plain silly--especially for CPF'ers who have 3 lights on their body at all times anyway!
