Is ARC AAA regulated?

Can I use nimhs in it? I searched the forums but came up empty handed.

It has a step up voltage converter so you can use NiMH with it. It will be slightly dimmer but hardly noticible.

The AAA is "semi-regulated" and it works fine with NiMH batteries. But it will not be quite as bright.

Any idea if more AAA turquoises or LE are coming out? I see at various places that it is, but I've also read elsewhere it's discontinued. Don't know who to believe.
