Is Duracell Discounting their made in China Pre-charged Cell?

John_Gault noted peripherally in another thread that a Rite-Aid was selling Duracell bundles containing the pre-charged cells from China for 5 dollars less than those containing the re-badged Eneloop:

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this at their local Rite-Aid or any other vendor?

it is possible they are dated and the black top ones are older. For a precharged cell they do lose some charge over time and if they stay on the shelf for 2 years they would perform less favorable than those on the shelf 2 months.
