is E1E too large for keychain?

Hi eelnoraa. I think the E1e is too big for the keychain. Try putting either an Arc AAA or Photon II on your keychain instead. I personally don't like to have too many keys or things attached to my keys.

I also hate to have too many keys and miscellaneous items attached to my key ring. It's bad enough that I have an alarm remote on there!

What I think is nice about the E1e is that it's very pocket-friendly. My neighbor has a pair of them, maybe three or four (I really have to introduce him to CPF), and he carries one with #550 OD parachute cord attached to his key ring. He's a big guy, anyway, and it looks easy enough for him to carry. Then again, he has about twenty keys on that darn thing. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohgeez.gif

I'd have to agree - the Arc AAA seems to be more of an appropriate size, at least in my anticipated opinion since I'll be receiving mine soon and was one of the reasons why I wanted it. (Not to mention all the good things mentioned about it)

I like to be able to use whatever I've got on my keychain without the rest of it getting in the way. My keys have a Glowring and PhotonII on them. My ArcAAA and Photon3 are on a neck-lanyard either round my neck under my polo shirt or jumper or in a pocket or quick access rucksack pocket.

I find it's difficult to use an illumination tool attached to your keys for the purpose of illuminating the process of using a key when you are using a key.

I would never consider having anything as large as an ArcLS or SureFire on my keys.

And my post doesn't even go into actually carrying keys with such a large item attached...

it's probably a bit too much to carry on your keys but it its a matter of personal taste.

I think anything larger (i.e. longer and/or wider) than Infinity Ultra is too big for keychain carry.

I'm afraid it is. Even the ARC LS is too large to me. I think for the keychain the ARC AAA is the best bet.

I used to EDC the E1 on my carkeys, until I added the KL1 head and lost the pocket clip. I don't miss it. I find it easier to have the light and the keys separate, since the whole bundle (and I only had 2 keys on the E1) would tend to make a 90-degree angle and poke me in soft places. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
