Is G2 Superior to Scorpion?

I have a Scorpion and like it very much. I actually use it more than I use my SF E2E, a habit that I know Al will not approve of. I actually like the rubber coating on the body. I find it very comfortable in my hand.

One of the major factors with flashlights is being able to carry them to have them when needed.
Last night I worked late. I was packing up my stuff and in the bottom of my bag I noticed that I have two M3T's. I'd been carrying them around since late August and not realised it. It's also worrying that I didn't notice them missing from my shelf /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif Time to do a count perhaps!
Anyway, I have a UKE 2L in the front pocket of my ruck sack always. I personally couldn't carry the G2 or Scorpion unless I had a means of disabling them. A pouch just isn't good enough.
So I guess that the G2 and Scorpion are pretty matched on price and at that price point (of about $30) I'd think carefully about what I wanted to used the light for and how I'm going to carry/store it.
The G2-YL yellow is great for needing to be found in low light. The last G2 I got was yellow and the next one is likely to be as well.

I like my little used Scorpion. I stick mostly to LED lights. However when I saw a fellow CPFer's G2 I must say the quality of the light in appearance and feel was superior. It was daylight and I didn't want to do the eyeball test /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/huh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The only thing the G2 needs IMO is a Lock out tail cap.
If it could lock out there would be no contest that the g2 is the more desirable light. As it stands, I dont often carry my G2 because of the protruding button.
Still, the mighty scorpions' been around for a while and still does pretty good in it's role.
