Is it supposed to be like this??

I got my D10 patriot today, and i see a defect in the adonizing. is it supposed to be like this? if these are hand done i can understand

this photo shows the defect near the head, should i be happy with it the way it is or should i call 4sevens and try to get a new head?

Every Patriot I have seen on the interwebs, as well as my Patriot, have variances in the anodizing. It's just part of the process, and there will most likely be an issue with either the red, white or blue of the replacement you could get. However, 7777's may have a Patriot with a smaller variance than this.

Mine has many smaller areas that were not color-anodized. I'm cool with it. I love the D10 and have over 20 of them now. I think it adds character, kinda like my beer belly!

I still have never owned even one...but I do have a few EX10's...Thanks BTW!:D

It really dosn't look that bad to me. After a year of pocket wear it will just look well used. Cosmetics are less of a concern to me rather than off center leds. Unless its a high dollar light & that does change things for me.
