Does anyone have any information about a possible rechargeable replacement for the 123A cells? My E2e is expensive to feed

Testing was done with those and unfortunately you only get 10 minutes of mediocre light with rechargeable 123s.

Well... now that my hopes have been dashed upon the rocks, can anyone offer a possible solution to this? How would a Lithium Ion, in a stick the same length as two 123Ls, fare? I understand some companies can custom make these...

As I stated already in the other thread, they are not ideal for Surefire's but they work fine in LED's.

If you can wait, there is a new lithium rechargeable battery coming out next year possibly. This one is supposed to be overcharge resistant. They have a cell voltage of 2 volts so you can't replace a single 123 but maybe two 123's could be replaced with 3 of these. you could order 6 223 batteries from carguy21 on ebay , then separate the 123,s. I bought 12 223's for less than $20, and they are good batteries. This incudes shipping also incase you were wondering. mike

Yup, 223 splitting is the cheapest source of 123s I've found. If you're patient, you can pick them up for very little. I paid $6.72 shipped for 6 223's from carguy21 a couple of weeks ago. It came out to $0.56 per 123 cell!
