Is this a surefire head?

Looks like a custom head with heatsinking fins, and I doubt Surefire has much of a need for those.

The old KL1 and KL3 had a finned/ribbed design for thermal management. That looks like the KL3.

(further research) seem's like it can run 6-9v so, can take rechargables;)
