So I lost my favorite flashlight and can't function without it! Mainly because I used it everyday, several times a day at work! It started life as the 1st gen akoray AA from DX. I upgraded the emitter to XP-G, the switch, button, and O-rings and ran a 14500 rechargeable. It was perfect to me in every way. Unfortunately DX sells a crappy version of it now. One of the best parts of it was the driver, it had 3 programmable modes of either intensity or strobe. I've used this flashlight almost everyday for 2 years, I REALLY hope whoever out there found it appreciates it.... :shakehead
Anyways I must move on but I can't find anything similar. Could you guys please help me?
It must be:
1x 14500
tail stand
small profile
have a pocket clip
switch on the rear
no more than 3 modes w/memory and programmable if possible
efficient and bright (XP-G)
durable case
Ugh I still cant believe its gone, this is the first time Ive become attached to something like a flashlight. It was very unique and one of the first that I built/modified 🙁 I know it might sound dumb being a DX light but with the modifications I did it was really nice! I dont want another DX light but something nice out of the box...
