Jetbeam RRT-3 Triple XML - 18650 batteries?

Just bought a triple XML RRT-3, and then bought 6 ea UltraFire 3000mAh protected 18650's for it. But they won't fit in the light!! I put them in the holder, and then it won't fit in the light!! The batteries stick out radially just enough that it is too big to fit in the tube. :scowl::scowl::confused::confused:

6X CR123's fit.

So, which brand(s) of protected 18650's do I need to get? :confused:

Hey there Brigadier - so sorry to hear of the problem... I used to have the same light and had Ultrafires that were a VERY tight fit... Also in my case the Jetbeam batteries that came with the light were also very tight. I found that AW 2200mah fit the best. It may be useful to rotate and play around with each battery to find the most narrow fit. Also as an option, you could sand down the 3 pillars of the battery carrier to make more room. Hope this is helpful - the light is truly awesome though.

I use EagleTac 3100 mAh batteries and they work fine.

I ordered some Tenergy 2600's off Amazon. According to this link:

They are 18.3mm in diam vs. 18.6 for the UltraFires.
