Hi guys, just received my first batteries from DX. I managed to order the wrong kind, lacking the "tip" that makes the usable in series. I do not have any magnets to use, and wonder if you guys have any idea of any everyday household items I can use, so as to get them to work in my lights (2x18650 lights).

Thanks!

See if you can add a solder blob on the flashlight contacts or on the battery contacts.

You could check out hardware stores and see if they have magnets small enough to work for you, which seems easier.

Magnets NOT a good idea unless you surround them with a foam or plastic collar to prevent them from shorting out your light if the magnets shift in normal use. Drop a light with a magnet attached to the tip and you have a real possibility of movement and :poof:, no more light!!

I've been using tiny magnets that I ordered from DX without issue. They stay put and work perfectly.

TTT: Where are you located? I might be able to help you. Please PM me.

If they are Lithium Cobalt rechargeables, DO NOT SOLDER THEM !!!

Well, thanks for the input. I have already ordered different batteries. Anyhow, I folded a tiny bit of alu-foil and managed to cram it between the outer foil of the battery and the + side. Worked fine in my UF-500 :)

Have also ordered some magnets and other stuff, incl. the other SSC P7 from DX (the alu reflector one).
