Just got my SureFire G2Z!

My first Surefire. Smaller than expected. Lots of people on here said it was too big for EDC /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif. I guess I dont wear really really tight pants. If this is bigger than the E2e, I gotta see it! I dont have my Scorpion to compare it with (at a friends house). Feels great, durable, and ish toight. Lanyard is pretty long though. Thanks for this forum and everyone who gave great reviews for it. Next light? Maybe an ASP Tac-Lite.

About the lanyard, I have one on my Z3. I tied the end of it into a monkey's fist to make it shorter. Takes a little off the end...

If you really are into temporarily blinding yourself (I do it periodically), try the P61 lamp in your G2Z.

Ive got the Surge which is rated at over 100 lumens. The G2Z blinded me more than the Mag 3x123 mod. Maybe its the reflector. I wouldve got the P61 but a few reasons I didnt:

1. County Comm doesnt carry bulbs
2. 20 min runtime is a waste of batteries. I would rather get a 3 cell and get an hour. 4 batteries for 40 minute runtime or 3 batteries for 1 hour. You do the math. Granted, its longer but not by much. I can carry the Mag 2C in my pocket comfortably without anyone knowing.
3. Ive got the Mag 2C 3x123 mod. (Will do the 4x123 if I ever get the 808 bulb from Carley.)

I've had the G2 since it first came out. I now have a G2z on order can't wait as it will be my "backup" duty light

I just realized that the beam isnt any better than my Scorpion and Surge. They all look the same (good hotspot with light surrounding it).

I just got my Side Armor holster today. It's much better than the V70 for the G2Z and Z2.

FNG - if you're carrying Mag 2C in your pocket, no wonder you'll disagree with the G2Z being too big to EDC statements. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif Altho I agree with you on that point - ppl may mention the E2/e being great for EDC and other 6V SF being too big/bulky, yet the size diff is barely noticeable.

the C2 is my current EDC /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif i prefer the beam of the E2e i had though...it was rounder and more even.

No, the C2 uses the same lamp assembly as the G2Z, Z2, 6P, G2. So the brightness is the same.

I was asking about the P60 vs MN03. Alot of people on here brag about SureFire's "perfect" beam when my P60 looks like my Scorpion and Surge. Is the beam only perfect on the # series?

If your P60 has the same "look" of the Surge, then there's something wrong with the lamp assembly.

Or maybe the beam of my Surge is good? This is my first SF so I cant compare. All I know is that it doesnt look anything like the E2e beam above.
