Just saw Eneloops at Wal-Mart

I wasn't aware Wal-Mart was carrying Eneloops, but I can confirm that the Wal-Mart SuperCenter on Orange Blossom Trail at Wekiva Springs Road (Apopka, Florida) had the charger/battery combo for I believe $11.97. I should have paid attention to what the price was, but I was there for the Kodak Precharged Batteries, so I didn't. I believe it came with 4 AA's. They did not have any separate batteries, just the charger combo.

I was at one of the smaller stores (not a supercenter) the day before and they didn't have anything eneloop, or any empty hooks for them.

I'll confirm this report...

Walmart on Blanding Blvd in Orange Park, FL had the Eneloop charger with 4x AA, but I don't remember the price. They did not however sell Eneloop batteries alone (darn it.)

The Walmart in the Sawgrass Mills area of SE Florida (Sunrise, FL). Had the combo - Eneloop charger with 4x AA for $19+. However the charger "looked" like you needed to recharge all four at once. I asked but nobody knew anything about it and didn't want to open the blister pack.

I din't see Eneloops, but last time I was at walmart I bought some Rayovac Hybrids and I saw 4pks of the good China-made Energizer rechargeables.

walmart.com doesent show them at all, so they must be test marketing them in certain stores. Considering my store only had 1 in stock, I'd say it's going pretty well. Hopefully we'll see them in every store soon, along with the 4 packs.

I just bought this combo pack last weekend at Walmart. You can charge any number of batteries 1-4. :wave:

Is there only 1 light on the charger you got? I believe this one is the same one I saw at my store. According to amazon it's a 7 hour charger.

Yeah, that looks just like it. When you start charging the light is green, when they're charged, the light goes out.

As long as you only charge as many as you need that would still work out ok. But it would be a pain to charge 4, and not know when the first two are done.

I just bought this combo pack last weekend at Walmart. You can charge any number of batteries 1-4. :wave:
