Sears has a 170 lumen k2, and claims some long runtime. I don't see they can claim anything close unless close to the 85 lumen per watt as this page states. Last I read k2's were around 55.

If the efficiency were this high-- sears known for grabbing cheap crap-- is there some huge cost advantage of these and can we buy cheap 85 lumen/watt k2s and reflectors somewhere.

He degarb!

Here's a Luxeon K2 available at Future Electronics that outputs 200 lumens minimum at 1000ma:

The $6.96 price is the 1-24 pieces cost. I bought a few lately and used them in lights that originally had Lux-III emitters. Really brightened up the output!

At 1.5 amp, this part can do close to 300 lumens. So Sears may well have a 170 lumen light using the K2.

Cheers,
Jeff
