I bought a fenix E01 and it stopped working after about 4 months and it stopped working. i liked it because the output for such a small light but didnt have that great of throw. now i found the E15 and it says it puts out 170 lumens and i was very impressed, but i was scared to get one because the other one broke so quick.

I was wondering if anyone got the fenix E 15 or has any other suggestions about that size light about 2 inches or so for around 40 bucks??

thank you very much

jasmul, Your post probably best belongs in the "Recommend me a Light" forum were I suspect it may get moved.

Be that as it may, I'd suggest that several of the Quark mini lights would fit your requirements and budget. The MLR2 CR2 mini is ideal for your purposes and is 39 dollars or $35.88 with the CPF discount. There's also the CR123A powered Mini ML (XP-G2) and Mini ML-X (XM-L2), $39.00 and $49.00 respectively before the CPF 8% discount. Both of these lights are 2.3 inches long while the MLR2 is 2 inches long. For the key chain, the MLR2 gets my vote. I have all three of these lights but the CR123A versions seem a little bulky for a key chain compared to the MLR2 which for me is the perfect light for this application. All three of these lights range in brightness from 180 to around 210 lumens and have pretty impressive power for their size.

I carry an E15 on one keyring and it is amazing for the size.
I can't say I really care too much about the throw but it foes put up a large wall of light I just have npt really thought about it throwing for what I use a keychain light for.

I have been carrying mine for a few years probably and it works every time, all the time so far.
The Fenix seem a lot more rugged to me than anything else I have tried in that size and price range and I have tried a lot of them.

I love mine.
