so im looking for a single 123 keychain light, small, strong, nice low for silly runtimes and good battery vamp duties.

so far all i can find is the olight i1 and fenix e15, does anyone have these and any coments on how they are performing ?
anything else i should look at ? - i looked at the ez123 as im a nitecore fan but no real low put me off - unless someone can tell me how awsome it is i might give it ago.

i have to say im leaning towards the E15, because it looks solid ??

I have both, they are actually very similar in size. E15 has two levels, high always first, and it features a TIR lens so its beam is rather peculiar. i1 has a normal reflector, three levels, low always first and a more traditional beam.
My choice would be the Olight because in my opinion Fenix needs some more experience with TIR's in order to clean and improve their beams. My Surefire's and Inova's with a TIR have much nicer beams. Even my Lumapower Incendio with an aftermarket TIR has a better beam than Fenix E15 (or E11).
 
The 4sevens Mini 123 is very light, small and strong enough, should make a good keychain light with very low moon mode and very good preset levels.

If you are looking for bombproof and small, then a stainless steel Peak Logan 123 QTC, with inifinitely variable levels would do, be aware though that the SS version weights noticeably more than the Al HA version.

My E15 have 3 levels mid, low and high
 
I've had a Fenix P1D-Q5 on my keychain for years. It is exceptionally good at the job. They don't make one anymore* but I am sure you can find one somewhere, and it probably won't be very expensive.


*I don't understand Fenix. I have no interest in any of their lights anymore. Maybe I'm just really strange that way. I used to have and carry all Fenix. Now it's 4Sevens and others. Why isn't there a current version of the P1-CE, for example?
 
I recently picked up a couple of egear pico lights. Only 10 lumens, but so tiny: less that ½" diameter, and about 1½" long (plus clip). And cheap.

The one on my keychain has already come in very handy.

I did find the mini, but compared to the olight or fenix for the same type of light is a little priceyer, is it worth it ? especially when i could get the stainless i1 which is still cheap but should be real strong. the peak is interesting, not sure i could get one at a reasonable price over in the uk ill have to look into it, maybe over kill for keychain though. thanks for the ideas guys.

the egear light isnt cr123.
 
ok trying to work my way through this, the peak looks special but not for me just yet, interesting tech but want something simpler, glad it was pointed out to me though because i would like one at some point i think. Trying to decide if i need the 4 sevens flashy modes or not...
 
Since I wanted Moar Lumenz, I got a 4Seven Quark Minix 123, running a rechargable CR123. With an XM-L emitter, it can output quite a bit of light, and has 3 well spaced modes. Ive been impressed with it. Nice color tint as well. Not warm, but not as blue-ish as the itp A1 with the XP-E.
 
I'm using the 4Sevens Quark miniX 123 as my keychain light cause I wanted more lumens too. Honestly, I haven't really use any of the strobe/beacon/sos modes...but it's nice to have it there.

I chose this because I like the mode sequence that it comes on, low, med and high. I believe the Fenix E15 comes on at medium, low then high. So it depends which sequence you prefer more.

My miniX does have some thread wobble..but I just loosen it more so it doesn't accidentally come on, and i re-lubed the threads, so it turns a lot smoother now.
