Help Support Candle Power:

Just thought I'd point you guys to some threads and posts that might be helpful.
My dimensions, kj's dimensions, some review info

As stated in one of the links, I cut my reflectors down more than others usually do. In my experience it gives a better beam. Please note that there are two styles of MagAA reflectors. Some are thicker than others, look here for more info. IMO the "thinner" ones focus just a bit better.

It's been a while since I opened up one of my Arc LSs but if IIRC, cutting the reflectors to my specs won't work properly in the head since the hole left after cutting (and deburring) will be large enough for the emitter to completely pass through. I would think that if used in a LS you would want the base of the reflector to rest on the black plastic of the emitter so everything can stay in place. With my reflector specs, you generally want the bottom of the reflector to sit at the same level as the top of the black plastic on the emitter, assuming you are using the "thinner" MagAA reflector.

Has anyone ever tried a side-emitter in one of those small reflectors? I would love to see a beamshot of this combination.

I tried a SE once with a MagAA reflector. Wasn't very good IMO. Was mostly flood. Seems like the MagAA reflectors are too small for SEs. I was only running the SE at 350ma though.
