KL1 Tab?

Anyone know what the number on the "tab" indicates? I see the number 8 on the indentation at the top of the reflector. Just curious.

I believe it is the (injection) mold cavity number on the NX-05 optic. Multi cavity plastic injection molds typically have their cavities numbered to aid in troubleshooting.
Edit: My KL1 is cav 1 and among the loose NX-5's I haven't cut up, I have 3 #2s and one that looks like a 9.
