KL4/ E1e combo

Have a KL4 mounted on an E1e.
Seems the output is very dim.
Is one battery just not enough juice to power the KL4 even to the level of a KL1 on the E1e?

If its a fresh cell it should be just as bright, if not brighter than the KL1. Try putting in a new battery and it should make a world of difference. BTW, lots of ppl have been using this combo w/o any issues, try searching for "TW4" in CPF, its the unofficial name for the KL4/E1e combo...

Depends on the BIN of your LS. Some work okay, some not so good. It really takes a low Vf and an LS with a bluer tint so that it will not look green when it is underdriven. Ive tried about two dozen KL4's on 1x123 and didnt find one that was particularly impressive. Even the best didnt seem much brighter than a 1 watter driven to spec. I keep my KL4 on 2 cells.

Some have said that it varies head to head on the KL4 with respect to combination with the E1e. For me, it's been GREAT! Same great output, though less run time. But the smaller form factor is worth it!

try Li-ion rechargable! after change it is 4.2V it could power up the KL4 for about 10mins
