KL5 led head host options

Surfire does not have any 3 cell leghts listed for hosts for this head yet other sites selling the head list 9P, Z3 etc. Who is correct? Can you run this head on a 3 cell host?

Yes. You can run it on a 3 cell host. Someone will probably chime in with more here in a minute and I can't remember all of the specifics on the debates I've seen over this but I have also seen several Emails from Surefire Tech Support saying that its just fine to do so.

The KL5A is fine on three-SF123A batteries.
I've been advised it's best not to run the KL5 on three-SF123A batteries if I can avoid doing so. It all depends on the sensitivity of the specific LED or something.
