I have been looking at the Klarus lights and note the one I like, the ST20 looks very similar to the Eagletac P20A2 MKII ?? I know some companies here are the same. Could this be the case with these two??

Check the serial numbering font / size and the engraving colour on the Klarus. Same as Fenix.

The electronic side switch is Panasonic. Same as Zebra Light

The plot thickens 😱oo:

I heard that Klarus or the company that is now Klarus had been manufacturing lights for other companies, so maybe they were influenced by what they were making.

I also heard that Klarus came on the scene when they wanted to make their own lights but had previously been around prior to that making other's lights? Hmmmm Interesting post BASS. Thickening plot.

On the goinggear.com website Marshall explains in the ST20 video that Klarus have been around for a long time making lights for other brands and have decided to start their own line. BTW, the goinggear.com video is what sold that light to me. took the gamble and bought one from goinggear.com a few weeks ago.

I've had the ST20 as my EDC for a week or two, great light. Amazingly bright and the beam is so incredibly usable outside on max and great inside on a lower setting There's no pre-flash so i can use on the low mode to get up late at night. I use it at work and at home.

Last night for example at 1am, my dogs were going crazy so i got up out of bed using the low output and walked out to the back door and out onto the deck. I heard some rustling in the bush in 2-3 seperate places behind the house about 30-50 metres back. I thought it might be some just some kangaroos, bandicoots or possums but i twisted the head over to the highest setting anyway and it lit up the whole area and there was a pack of large black dogs. They took off back into the hill after i yelled at them and shone the light directly at them.

I am impressed with the light put out by the little 2xAA light. The build quality is awesome.

I have both the ST20 and the EagleTac but have never drawn any similarities to the two of them. I actually have my EagleTac up for sale, since I like the Klarus a whole lot better!!! (better switching... lower "low" mode)

One way of checking similarities is to swap parts, this is what happened to me recently:

In fact Revo and Mi10 are so similar that once I had mixed heads and bodies out of curiosity I was no longer able to tell which was which so that I had to go and look at the site pictures to put the right head on the right body.

i have the st10. love it other than some fog that appears to be on the sealed side of the lense. very bright. the side switch and momentary on work great. the switch feels exactly like the one on my sc51

Mrpink, the head itself is usually not sealed on the back side. I had the same problem myself with another light: I left the head alone, lens down, out in the sunshine on a windy day for an hour or so and the problem disappeared forever. I guess the humid air trapped inside the head went away.

Very interesting RB. I have the ET P20A2 MKII, is that what you have ??. I like mine a lot but are also considering another 1 x AA and 2 x AA. The Klarus might well do it.

Thanks Mr Pink You are the one I need to ask then which is brighter (throw) the SC51 or the ST10? and have you had any issues with the switch on the side??

And I now also note that the ST10 Klarus has the same handle section as on the Zebra SC600. I am not making claims but would not be surprised if Klarus made lights for Eagletac and Zebra and that is why they have a mixture of features. The more I look at these Klarus lights the more excited I get.

I've been looking all over for a 1AA light with the following features below, and this Klarus ST10 seems to fit all. Time to spend $ again!
- Forward clicky
- Tail stand
- A low of 2~5 lumens
- Pocket clip
- Good run time.

Flame ... you may want to also consider the Zebra SC51 which I have. Other than the occassional accidential pocket turn on due to the switch this is a great light and from all reports the highest lumen rating for 1 x AA on the market. Loosen the tailcap a half turn when pocketing to stop turn on but other than that I love it. Lowest setting is .2 lumens for 16 days and I can have a shower in the dark with that setting.

I did consider the Zebralight too but it's not a forward clicky. The SC51 got excellent run time though!

I carry my ST20 everyday and no accidental pocket turn ons! 😉

I like it so much i'm thinking about getting the ST10 as well...

cheers

Is there noone who can tell me if the ST10 is as good a thrower or as bright as the SC51. A few I have seen on CPF have both but noone has told me.
