Knurling on AAA

Just curious, but the knurling on the head of my new AAA 3.1 is course, much like that on other lights. However, the knurling on the body is extremely fine, almost looks and feels like velvet. It initially struck me as being a little odd -- two different kinds of knurling on the same light. Is this normal for AAAs?

normal...no.

What color is it? Sounds like you got a LE body.
(I believe the LE has finer knurling)

My LE v3.1 has the same knurling on body and head.(fine)
My AAA v3.1 has a coarser knurl on the head.
My SE has the same knurling as the LE
