The tailcap switch on my Super LGI ( a modified Brinkmann 3AA flashlight) is failing.

Will a kroll switch fit this light? Is there a better solution than a kroll?

Thanks for your help!

It'd all depend on whether the threads are compatible with it. Do you have a minimag handy? If the minimag's tailcap screws onto the Brinkmann, then the answer is "yes, the kroll" will fit.

As fas as a better solution... not currently. The NiteIze IQ switch would be it, but we're still  about it. The key with the kroll is periodic maintenance (cleaning). DeOxit & ProGold do wonders on it - I had a problematic kroll on my minimag and after applying that stuff, it never bothered me again (until I lost the light, at least...)

I don't have a minimag. I know from previous threads that a kroll does fit the mini-mag, but I couldn't find any threads about it fitting a brinkmann.

Unfortunately, the threads on a Brinkman, Mini-Mag, & Streamlight are all different, so, no, the Kroll will not fit. The Steamlight swich has a metal body, appears to be very robust, but it will not fit either the Brinkman or Mini-Mag (shame). The only suggestion I have is to find someone with the correct tap size (Mini-Mag thread size), & have the threads chased on your Brinkman. I have two Brinkman 2AA lights that are needing switches too, I've tried both Kroll & Streamlight switches, neither will work.
