Has anyone got a distributor list for buying this light in the USA? This was to be answered and it seems that no one can provide this simple information.
 
I check out the so called "distributor" of KumKang lights. It turns out that they have a "source" in Korea that ships them to the USA. They are asking $1200

(Jeff's translation: a friend/relative is an airline employee, buys them in Korea, and "imports them" to USA...
The problem here is what does one do for service?)

However, one of the manufacture's representitives that I know, has been trying to negotiate with KumKang for several months, and have a trip planned for Korea next month. Supposedly, KK is not too interested in exporting their product????
 
When I was in Seoul last week, I saw a sign for KumKang, and got my hopes up...

...until I realised that the sign was for a clothes shop.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

There seem to be quite a few KumKang companies in Korea..

The KK sells for $750, as on Ken's site...

That brings up the question now, of whether the price, at almost 3 times that of the X990, is worth it...
