L1T holster?

I just got my L1T light today. at the top of the holster there is a plastic D-ring type thing, how do you use it or what is it for? Any pics of it in use?

I believe it for hooking on a backpack strap. Not sure though. Great light BTW.

That D-ring works great with a small carabiner worn around your belt or through a belt loop.

I clip mine through that ring to a BOB (Bug Out Bag) where the detachable arm sling clips to the bag.

I hope that makes sense... It works great.

Thanks, that is kinda what i figured it was for, just wasn't sure if there was a special clip or something for it.
