L4 and L5

If I bought a L4 would I be able to buy a L5 head at a later date. Is everything compatible?

No, KL4 (L4 head) fits on E-series bodies. The L5 body is the same as the M2, but you can also use the C2-HA body. Or you could use an EtoC adapter to get the KL5 working on the L4 body.

Besides being incompatible, the pricing is so high on the KL5 that you can buy the entire L5 light for just a few more dollars.

You can make it fit if you buy an "E2C" adapter. Here is an L5 head on an L4.
