L4 with variable power

Does the L4 have a low power setting, something like 10-15 lumens low? is there plans to produce a 2 stage L4?

L4 will only drop to low power when the batteries start to weaken. It would have been a nice feature though!

There are rumors that a variable output LED might be on the drawing boards at SF, but SF policy is to not discuss future products.

The upcoming ARC LS4 and LS 5 will have instantly variable power settings

What do you mean by "instantly variable"? Is it a switch where you can control the light output?
