Ever wondered what two thousand glow sticks look like all active at once?
I've been lurking around CPF for over two years. It seems to me that there are two distinct types of 'flashaholics'. The first type likes portable lights that are so bright that if six of them were aimed at a hunk of sulphur, it would achieve fusion and solve all of our energy problems. The second type likes low level aethereal lights. Things like candles, fibre optics, LEDs, electro-luminescent wire, chemical-luminescence , blinkies, throwies, phosphorescence, fireflies, poi-poi, and anything else that looks cool in the dark. (Some of you miscreants go both ways ) This event is definitely for the 'aetherholics' out there.
Despite the site's (un)slickness it's really just a few people and whoever happens to be passing by. So if you live anywhere in San Diego County you may want to drop by for an hour or two. There are lots of other things to do in La Jolla, like coffee shops, restaurants (both economical and expensive), bars, and places to smooch. Bring your kids/family in the afternoon for a day at he beach/picnic and catch the first hour of Fae Tide, before going home.
The floodlights on the East side of the park go off at 11:00pm, and would be a perfect place to engage in 'flashlight envy' with normal 'flashaholics', but please no super bright lights on the West side of the park.
-See you there!
