laser beam obstruction... HELP!

for some reason lately my laser looks like there is a hair or something in the path of the beam but no matter how hard i try i cant remove or clean whatever it is that is causing it, it looks lind of like this

why is this and how can i fix it?

If you have cleaned the lens itself and the obstruction did not go away then it sounds like it is scratched, go buy another lens. You want an AR coated PCX lens with a EFL of 15-18mm. Go here to buy Edmund industrial optics www.edmundoptics.com,also ask for a catalog its free.

I was never able to clean the lens on my pointer without taking it apart, they're just too far in to reach. :/
