Laser beam reenforcement

I'm working on an art project and am considering using red laser pointers. Normally, a red pointer beam is not visible in the air, but if you crossed a number of beams at the same point, could you make a visible dot hang in the air? If so, how many would it take, and what wattage?

Any suggestions welcome.

It would take a lot of power to make a red beam visible, I would suggest just using a smoke or fog machine.

They'd more than likely have to be phase-locked. In theory it could work but a practical impossiblity in this case.

When I use my 5 watt Argons one tuned to Blue the other Argon
tuned at Green than I add Krypton Red intersect the lines(beams) I get a White Light ball of light seems dramatic but not so much,,
I just did the same for an event for the Sci-Fi channel few weeks ago

Thanks for the help, folks! Phase locking is something I hadn't thought about; do red laser diodes emit a pulsed beam, then? I thought about using green lasers but can't really fork out for ten of them!
