latest greatest 5mm leds

I just came across a few of the old Dorcy 1 AAA lights from a number of years ago. The cool thing about them was...the entire led/ boost board came out as one piece, and it was very easy to change leds on the board. It's been a number of years since I've modded a light and I want to know what would be a newer...great 5mm led to change into these lights...and secondly...where can I get say 6 of them?

interesting....but it seems that's from a few years ago.......should I be looking for a half dozen Yujis? Where is a good place to but small quantity?

I would also like to know this. I would like to try some neutral white LEDs to replace the reds in my a2
