Leatherman Hybrid

the prices vary due to blade steels...I believe some models come in either 440C or 154CM...So that would make the prices vary so much...

You're thinking of the Charge series.

Charge AL/ALX: 154CM
Charge TTi: S30V

Both of the pruning models use the same steel and vary by implements.

In regards to the pruning models, the prices vary about the same as most other models. I picked one up for a birthday girft for 40.00$ but have seen them sell for twice that at retail stores.

The tools are typical Leatherman quality. I purchased the yellow Hybrid model and was very impressed by the ergonomics and general feel of the tool. They are also the best thing ever for opening clampacks.

I got a model H502 a while ago, sporting a 420 blade...a better option would ahve been the H502X, the only difference is a metal bolster and a 154CM blade...but mucxh more expensive...thats what Im talking about...

 Huh?

From the posts and links in this thread I assumed it was about the Leatherman Pruning tools? Did you click the link in the first post? It takes you to the Leatherman Pruner page.
