Anyone have one of these? Thinking about replacing my Micra with it, but not sure of how they compare. Seems the tweezers are gimpier but the tools are easier to access. How well do the aluminum handles work?

I think you're referring to the S4, right? The S2 is in the Juice line.

I have an S4 on my work keys (P4 on my regular keys) and I like it a lot better than my Micra (carried a Micra until I got the Squirt). It's gotten a little beat up over the 13 some odd months that I've carried it, but it still works great. The scissors cut well and are great for making network cable. The tweezers are quite different than those on the Micra--I like the Squirt tweezers better because they detach from the tool as opposed to the Micra ones that stay connected. But this also means that you can lose them--a lot like the SAK tweezers. They're also a little difficult to take out if you don't have fingernails. I choose the Squirt over the Micra any day--I hated having to open the Micra up to get the tools out, but that's just personal preference.

I received a Storm Grey Squirt P4 (plier version) this xmas to replace my aging Micra and I also bought an Arc AAA at the same time for my keychain. The anodized coating on the Squirt is already scratched up near the corners where the fingernail cutouts are. My Arc looks just as new as when I got it so I think my Arc scratched it up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif So the Squirt doesn't have type III HA like the Arc does.

On the other hand, being able to flip out the tools without having to unfold the whole thing and fold it back in like the Micra is very handy. Although I do miss the ruler and tweezers on the Micra (the S4 has the tweezers). It's also a bit shorter and thicker than the Micra when folded up.

I really like my P4......except the phillips screw driver, it's flat not a full driver bit. It won't handle moderately tight screws.....loosening or tightening. That's my only minor gripe with mine...other than that it's great.

Mike
