Leaving the batteries in the Charger....?

The trickle charge current is listed in the manual as 50mA.

That's pretty low, low enough that I would not be too terribly concerned about leaving cell on the charger for a few days if you forgot about em. (0.025C charge rate)

The Energizer 2500's will likely develop self-discharge that is self-discharging faster than that charge rate eventually, so in that application- who cares, lol.

Gather more opinions to be sure :)

Ok thanks for your help.

I have a feeling you are leaning toward not leave the batteries in the charger after they are full.

I use the leave the batteries for weeks in the charger... was I doing the wrong thing?

Please anyone here, feel free to come in with your opinion...

Stef.

Generally speaking it would be best to take them out after charge is completed. I understand NiMH will have longer life that way.

Use any inexpensive wall timer that you can find. Harbor Freight carries a double outlet appliance timer, non-digital, with appropriate features. Useful for other tasks and sometimes on sale for less than five dollars ($3.99).... Over-charged, leaky batteries can be expensive in the worst way. :sick2:
