Cool. Inductive charging even. Seems like they could have been given a bit more capacity (hours of burn) though (for the price). (I'm done with parens now).

Interesting, I'll give them that. Imagine from the look of them that the individual units would be waterproof to a point at least, so if they got caught outside in a downpour things wouldn't get expensive. Bit too pricy for me to buy to investigate though. If someone does, be sure to let us know how the set performs.

Does anyone else think the description could have done without the last part?

You've gone and burst my bubble. Here I thought they DID utilize the magical forces of the Cyborg Empire! You mean it's just an electromagnetic coupling of sorts?

The only problem I see, is that they force you to use the rechargable batteries. Useless in a multiday power outage.
Only 5 hours per charge? What did they use, rechargable button batteries????

I bought two sets for gifts at Christmas time.
They worked well. (I had to test them out before I
gave them out, of course)
They were regular incandescents at that time. I guess they have upgraded to LED's at the same price. They were pretty cool for setting a table.

When I worked at that lighting company, my co worker spent great amount of time developing routines to simulate "flicker" for dimmers used by Disney, he would dedicate a single CPU to each channel
