LED driver project

Hi
I'm student and for my final work/paper *I would like to make basic driver for p7-c or cree mc-e (bin k-wc) running from 12V DC supply.*
I'm searching online for a few days but I have trouble finding good schematics for it. Since led drivers are relatively new for me insight from a pro would make my life a lot easier.*

Hi,

I just builded this driver ( http://www.instructables.com/id/Circuits-for-using-High-Power-LED-s/ ) with a slight modification ( IRF520 mosfet instead of the JFET he posted) with great results

are you looking for a simple/cheap driver or a way-to-efficient driver?

Not this simple, sorry :)
These bulbs I have are parts of flashlights so the kind of drivers they have but not surface mounted.
And only one mode, they dont have to bu super efficient.

Also can it be done without micro controler?

I don't understand, do you want a led driver like the SMD or a DIY build driver? Do you want to "clone" a comercial tinny efficient driver?

Yes, diy build driver. Clone or something similar.
But not that small
