LED drivers in series?

I know that LEDs can be put in series. Can driver circuits be put in series as well?

Details: I'll be getting some 1500mA circuits (output) that can be powered by a single Li Ion battery. I have a 2S LiPo battery home and was wondering if I put the inputs in series and the outupts in parallel (to a single LED) if I'd end up with a 3000mA, 8.4V driver?

I am thinking you could have problems as many drivers the input and output ground wires are the same and if you try to connect the two drivers in parallel for output you could essentially short past one of the drivers in the series circuit.
