I have some plans for building a large-ish array of LEDs, which of course brings up cooling as one of the main considerations. What is the heat dissipation vs electrical power input on the XM-L specifically? I'll be going with T6 bin (or the U bin if its available by time I get around to it) I'm just looking for a general idea not a hard number for my application. I know lasers are more efficient then LEDs at about 25% conversion efficiency. Where to LEDs fall? 10% 20%?
I havent found any good conversion from lumens to watts of energy, which makes sense since lumens are fit to the response of the eye.
