LED night club

OK for demo mode, but more likely a migraine in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... > ! < I imagine the club in Warwickshire runs this with a great deal more subtlety in daily operation.

From a tech standpoint: not much different than running "visualizations" in Winamp with your favorite mp3s. IOW, you can do this with off-the-shelf software.

OTOH, it would definitely be nice to be able to get pre-wired LED boards to snap together and perform the integrated-monitor function. The largest LED screen I've seen employed as a monitor, over 200 feet long, was set up in Tianenmen Square last summer. (They recycled this particular piece of equipment for the opening ceremonies of the Shanghai Exposition a few weeks ago.)

This is cool over a dance floor, and thought about doing something like this with a drop ceiling. Over the general floor of the bar thought just tends to annoy people after awhile once the novelty wears off.

Speaking of Winamp Visualizations, I've actually thought about using a drop ceiling with frosted panels, and back firing the panels with Visualizations so it hovers over a specific area. Geiss 2 rocks

One place here in town is upgrading their exterior lighting. They got in the LED game early, they have these arrays of 5mm LEDs with a smooth RGB blending all on the exterior of the building. Saw in a magazine article they're revamping their LED exterior. Although this club isn't the dance sort.
