Hello everyone. I will keep it simple. I would like a small (</= 5") aux LED driving light to supplement my Genesis high beams. The stock HI beam are LED and not upgradeable. I have mounted my license plate on a post that scrws into the front tow hook. (Like may people do) THe post is thick and very stiff and will do the job to mount a single light.
  1. yes it s assymetric, I dont mind
  2. I have upgraded previous cars with
    1. Cibie Oscar(the 220 ,mm rectangular, with 100 W, stunning) (behind grill)
    2. Hella 4000 driving beam with 100W (excellent)
    3. Hella 550 ..cant remember the exact model but IIRC it had a fully clear lens and all the magic was in the reflecot
    4. 2 cars with KC 5" "slimlites" (drive beam)nbecause they would fit behind the honeycomb grill with neglibible loss. 100W , very good
  3. I tell you all this, so you have baseline.. I tried out a couple of AUXBEAMs(one projector style and one mulit LED in parabolic reflectors they had their cheap asses kicked by the KC hilites i still had The KC were brighter and had a tighter beam pattern.
  4. I am going to look at the HELLAS but wanted to seek any others experience.
