LED Spotlights ?

Hey all,

I spent some time at the university about 3 weeks ago, all the outdoor courtyards have these (maybe 5-7 per area) i havnt seen them at night.
Anyone seen anything similar?

They seem to have a full glass sheet covering the front and 2 LED's. for scale, the total width of the unit would be approx 400mm (0.4m / 15.5" / 1.3')

Sorry about picture quality, it was with my phone and the light unit was about 10m up the building.

They look like crappy off-shore flood lights which should never be permanently installed in this day and age as they are about as far from dark sky compliant as possible. Likely a nice glary cool white too.

I've actually seem something of similar design, but maybe 2/3 of your size in a flee market in Toronto. The flood light wasn't on, but i was playing with a flashlight with similar chip, it was producing warm white. The light quality wasn't great, but the flashlight itself was almost 2 feet long, actually looked like a weapon.

Just got an email about this from an offshore supplier called SignComplex. But like Semiman said, they leave alot to be desired when it comes to glare.
