LED Technology for Home Theater Projectors

There is an interesting thread that was started by someone over at the Audio Video Sciences Forum (My other home) about the possibility of using LED's in a digital projector.

I would be curious if you guy's who are more knowledgeable than myself would weigh in with your opinions on how possible this is and how it might be achieved.

I will post a link over there so those guys can come and read this thread and get some ideas. Some of the people who read that forum have a hand in designing these projectors and it could be a whole new avenue for LED technology.

Thats the second referal I`ve seen today for the AVS forum,other one was from Lightnetwork on Delphi,stage lighting forum,anyway stuck my 2c in over there.Thanks for the pointer.
