I remember seeing a head for surefire 6P type flashlights on an add somewhere. I think it was made in china but maybe not. I think it basically turned the 6P into your generic thrower (MRV, DBS, etc.)
I cant find this or anything else like it with the search function. Found one for incandesant though, but dont want that. I was thinking about this because I figure that way I can have the strength and reliability of an american made surefire light but get the throw capabilities I want for work. My MRV is great but its a Q2 and a little outdated, but I am hesitant to buy more chinese flashlights since i have had a nitecore, a few lumapowers, and a zebralight partially or completly fail on me.
 
That maybe what I was talking about but that seems new....
I thought I remmeber seeing this thing 6 or more months ago.
 
G&P made something called a "deep head" or deep dish P60 drop-in which the reflector was somehow deeper than normal. Never tried one though.
