I just finished installing several recessed lights so I was very much into the "lighting" mod. I alway wonder how my new EDC compared with other Li-Ion solitaires laying around the house, so here it is. I had to borrowed my dad's MiniMag BB400 just to do the reference comparison. Newbie with the cameras & lights so excuse the poor pics.

Favorites are LionHeart, Aleph Series, Lambda's then FF2.
Lights not worth having a battery is the E1E + KL1.
Any guess of which ones I EDC ? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Believe it or not with all these lights I walked upstairs in the dark. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/au.gif
I was afraid to wake up the Lioness in the den /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sssh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

There are two LH Max entries? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Or is the second-last one the 'medium' or 'min' shot?
 
The first LH entry is compared against cheapo China light lambda modified.
The second LH entry is compared against MicroMag MM+.
The only low power setting entry is the Jet22's GN Aleph II. It's pretty cool to watch your friends goes /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/duh2.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif when you switch lo -> hi /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hahaha.gif

Thanks for posting all the beamshots. Now that I have an LH, it's good to know how it compares with the others.

And that's quite a collection of little lights! I like the case for them. What kind is it and where did you get it?

I don't know, I was figuring this would be a modded solitaire thread and there isn't even one here.

probably what he meant is that it is using single li-ion, not solitaire lux mod /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif
 
At the heart of most the lights that were in the shoot out is a "single" Li-Ion.
Webster still have "solitaire" as "1: a single gem (as a diamond) set alone" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mpr.gif
I'm more than willing to change the title upon a good recommendations /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

As for the case, they're fitted camera lens cases from Quantaray. You could get them at WolfCamera or RitzCamera for $30.

it is just that folks already accustomed themselves that solitaire mod => the mod for the m@g solitaire

they better get used to different meaning now /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
