i was wondering if it was possible to upgrade the battery in the Life Gear Lantern so that it would last longer but not increasing the voltage. i think that means increasing the "m/ah" right?

is the same light Flying Turtle posted earlier http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=187693

according to the website the type of battery used it a lithium 3.6v 300MA battery. so what i want to do is double the mah capacity to around 600 mah

dont kno if this has been done but now that i think about it the battery in my FFIII is a 3.6v 750mah RCR123 battery...:sssh:

guess im going to crack open the case later this week and see if idea works hehe:wave:

i think i just answered my own question but ill post my results later

hey guess heres an update on the lantern... well i opened the case to look for the battery and the Life Gear website says its a lithium battery @ 300mah 3.6v, turns out its actually a 120mah 3.6v NiMH!!!

well im pretty sure i can take out the battery but will adding a protected RCR123 battery be able to properly charge off of the hand cranking without any damage to the battery and/or circuit?

dont kno much about electronics so i thought i'd ask before i take the plunge...

thanks guys!
