The dealer of this light tells me that it accepts 1x16340 li-ion 3.7v battery only. Researching on 16340 confused me a lot - these are the RCR123A type batteries, with an higher voltage, and the number indicates they are a shade smaller than lithium primaries.
In your experience has 16340 been interchangeable with lithium primaries? Are lights okay accepting 3.0v battery, instead of 3.7v? Does the diameter of the light count (rechargeables fit, but primaries do not)? Thanks in advance for any information/enlightenment on 16340 batteries. I haven't used a CR123A light till now (all are either AA or AAA), so these questions.
