Hi guys,
I would really appreciate your assistance. I own a pair of light force 240 xgt halogen and I would like to increase the light out put. For the size of the light, the output is embarassing and i'm ready to butcher them. I would like to use a hid ballast combination higher than the 55 watt systems available. I would like to go as high as I can in wattage but still maintain structural integrity of the reflector and lense. I have had a good
look around this site but I'm stuck. If anyone can point me in the right direction with advice and regarding purchasing globes and ballasts from a reputable site on the net, I would really, greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

IMO the 240s should not have embarrassing performance at all..
Maybe you have used too small wire gauge or some resistance problem on the contact points.
It also matters if the car is running, i have a hand-held blitz and one can clearly tell the difference.

Standard bulb is 100Watt, so you can easily go up to that wattage, actually even more as the HID
would be more efficient.
Look for Blitz mods on the forum, some guys packed really powerfull lamps in there.
The actual problem in modding these is not heat, it is the room the HID bulb socket needs.
The bulb itself has a bigger OD than the ID of the handle where it has to go through.
Someone told me it is like fitting D cells in a C Maglite. :)
If You manage that and find a way to mount the ballasts You are fine.
